The capsule format was chosen for its capacity. A capsule holds far more active ingredient than a gummy, so it can carry the declared doses of CoQ10, fat-soluble vitamins and concentrated plant extracts. Gummies require added sugars to stay soft and could not hold this formula at the declared dose. Capsules carry the full dose without such additions.

Take your three capsules each day with food. CoQ10 and vitamins A and E are fat-soluble, so take them with a meal that contains some fat.
Both, with one firm exception: because it contains preformed vitamin A, it is not for women who are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive. NHS advice is not to take supplements containing vitamin A (retinol) if you are pregnant or thinking about having a baby.

Yes. It is 8000 IU (2400 µg) of preformed retinol, not beta-carotene. The adult upper intake level for preformed vitamin A is 3000 µg a day, and liver, fortified foods and other supplements all count toward it — so do not stack another vitamin A product on top and do not exceed three capsules. Preformed vitamin A is not suitable in pregnancy or if you are trying to conceive. The NHS also advises no more than 1.5 mg (1500 µg) of vitamin A a day in total from food and supplements, because more than that over many years may affect bone strength, particularly in older women, and this serving alone is 2400 µg. If you are post-menopausal, at risk of osteoporosis or eat liver regularly, speak to your doctor before taking it.
It is not intended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or for anyone trying to conceive, because of the preformed vitamin A. It contains green coffee extract, which is a source of caffeine in an amount the label does not state, so if you are sensitive to caffeine or have been told to avoid it, treat it as containing some and do not take it late in the day. If you take medication, particularly warfarin or another blood thinner, or are under medical supervision, check with your doctor first. Keep out of reach of children.
